In Memory of Bob Ross: 5/20/1941 -5/14/2025

Robert Charles Ross was born in Spokane, WA on May 20, 1941.  Attended Mead Senior High School and married his wife Carol Ross on May 16, 1963, until her passing in 1996. Bob had two children, William “Bill” Ross, also a PGA Professional at Wandermere, who preceded him in death in 2020, and daughter, Kimberlee Moore-Reach. Bob remarried on September 26, 1998 to his High School sweetheart Carol Madren who stayed by his side until his last breath. He had three grandsons, and one great grandson.

Bob was at Wandermere since the day he was born. His father owned and ran the company when he was a child, eventually leading Bob to take over the family business and build Wandermere Golf Course into what it is today. His son Bill Ross, and grandson Bobby Moore, followed in his footsteps and also turned PGA Professional through Wandermere. Over the years he impacted the lives of many on and off the golf course. Bob had a huge heart for junior golfers and introduced the game to many current PGA Professionals in the Inland Empire Chapter and gave them their first job at Wandermere. He was heavily involved with the Shriners Hospital and many organizations that gave kids the chance to a better future. Through his generosity, Bob also welcomed Wandermere to be the home course for Mead and Mt. Spokane High School and never charged the teams to practice, making him one of the biggest contributors to the Mead School District over the past 50 years.

Bob turned Professional on September 1, 1973. Then turning PGA Professional with his election to membership on August 1, 1978. Bob was at Wandermere Golf Course till February 15, 2000 where he then went to LMR, and remained there until March 27, 2023 where he then went to Life Member Century.

Information about funeral service and celebration of life will be announced in the near future.
