Brad Redding on the importance of promoting business with social media tools: I use both my blog and two YouTube pages to help grow my business. My name gets recognized more often due to the fact that my name pops up first when people search for me on Google, the blog or YouTube. It contains my contact information, and allows them to learn more about me and see if I’m the right teacher for them. I can also directly interact with them through Facebook and Twitter. Also, for fellow teachers, using YouTube is a great way to become a better instructor because it allows you to view tips and instructional ideas from fellow teaching professionals without having to visit them in person.

Brad Redding on the business impact of promoting business with social media tools: Social media has helped me network because fellow professionals and others in the golf industry can see me at work and can also easily find my contact information. It has helped to bring new students to me. Approximately 50 private lessons and 20-30 golf schools have been made up completely of people who found and contacted me through my blog. In addition, more than 100 private lessons and golf schools were made up of students who saw my videos on YouTube and came to me to learn more. Through my nearly 60 videos and more than 300,000 hits on YouTube, my exposure and stature in the golf instruction field has only grown, which obviously helps business.
